How the day works

Factory is open one hour only (11–12). Capture silent BTS on the floor — machines, stacks, walks. No talking on the warehouse floor during that hour. All dialogue and VO get recorded at the flat from 12:30 (same day, in the VO batch — or pick up later if needed).

Warehouse footage + flat VO/dialogue = final reel. Videos 2 and 3 especially work this way.

Gear checklist

Warehouse hour

  • Camera + lens(es) for vertical 9:16 and wide establishing
  • Stabilizer or handheld — follow walks, floor pans
  • No lav on floor during WH hour — silent footage only; record VO/dialogue at flat
  • Spare batteries — you won't come back
  • Card labelled WH_BTS

Flat / studio

  • Clip-on lav mic + spare battery (woman primary, both for couple batches)
  • Tripod or stand for talking head + overhead product shots
  • Overhead rig or arm for table/lid shots (V3, V6)
  • Light: window + bounce, or soft key — flat should feel warm, not studio sterile
  • Phone for V4 screen record if doing extra
  • Cards/folders per video: 01_07_

Warehouse — what to capture (50 min)

Move fast. Factory may only be closed ~1 hour. Prioritize what's actually running.

  • Process wide — full floor establishing, 2–3 angles
  • Press / print — sheet moving, ink on board macro, 5 sec clips × 3 angles
  • Cut / trim — die-cut hands, worker at station
  • QC — hands checking lid alignment on box
  • Stack / pack — closed boxes piling up, placing box on stack
  • Stack pan — slow pan across Diwali cartons (V1, V2 cutaways)
  • Silent walk — follow her through aisle, no talking (V2)
  • Box hero silent — she holds sweet box to lens, traces lid, no dialogue
  • Couple walk silent — both walking aisle, tracking (V5 cutaway)
  • Foil macro — laminate edge, print texture (V3)
If a machine isn't running, skip it — don't wait. Grab people/hands doing real work instead.
Label card folder WH_BTS — edit pulls from here for V1, V2, V3, V5, V8 cutaways.

Flat — batch order + shot types

BatchVideosFraming notes
1 · Talking head1, 2Medium waist-up, front-facing. Lav on woman. Hooks first — punch opening line. 2 takes each line block.
2 · Product table1, 3, 5Overhead consistent for V3 five lids. Hands-only inserts OK. Top-down four-product layout for V5.
3 · Couple5, 7Two-shot medium. Both mic'd if possible. Overlap dialogue — keep rolling.
4 · Box packing6, 7Overhead for inserts, then front medium for dialogue. Messy packing = good.
5 · VO + retakes2, 3V2 dialogue if not done · V3 category VO · any missing flat shots. VO can be picked up here even for factory-heavy edits.

Format + deliverables

  • 9:16 vertical throughout — primary deliverable is Reels
  • Warehouse clips: label WH_ prefix on card or separate folder
  • Flat clips: label by video 01_, 02_, etc.
  • Min 2 takes on every dialogue block at flat
  • B-roll inserts tagged mentally: machine / hands / stacks / walk — editor matches to script
